Hawken Horse's instrumental project Aspen Ridge has been well received and it seemed unavoidable to take on one of the most iconic tracks in frontier culture. "Promentory" made famous by the movie "The Last of the Mohicans" is based on traditional Irish reels that were popular around the time of the French & Indian War. Taking on such a legendary project has to be done very carefully. First, you have to maintain an honorable connection to the original version.
